budgets, and technology to integrate such efforts into their own organizations. Alternatively,
                  some large companies establish subsidiaries to run their own social enterprises.

                  At present, then, large corporations may not be a major source of support for social enterprises.
                  Nonetheless, there are emerging signs of promise, albeit still faint. Some companies have begun

                  supporting social enterprises in three observable ways: (1) partnering with social enterprises to
                  jointly  carry  out  the  company’s  social  programs,  (2)  supporting  social  enterprises  through
                  procurement of their goods or services, and (3) investing in or funding the development and
                  expansion of social enterprise projects.
